Sci-fi Writing Prompt (1)

Last updated on 22/06/2023

Your planet has finally achieved FTL travel and is being welcomed into the galactic community. However the species selected to guide your people through this process is a terrifying and warlike predator species called…Humans.

Here is a little bit of what I would create in response to this prompt

“Hey have you heard about these Humans. I was reading up on them and they don’t sound like the best people for the job” said Ka’aa.

“You know this is why I didn’t want to bring you along on this particular diplomatic mission. You tend to let your mouth run before you give yourself a chance to speak” said Rathur.

“I do not”

“Are you sure?” Rathur said with a tilt of her head. “I can think of many times that has been the cases. Would you like me to refresh your memory about them?”

“No thank you we don’t need that”.

The two of them could get to the meeting hall sooner. The hall was nothing like anything from their world. these Humans has a different taste in what they would call decorations that were adorned around the room. They were as bland as anything I could think of. How did these predatory beings become a powerful entity within the galactic community and be allowed to guide us fledgeling races when they have such poor taste in everything.

Rathur almost let her thoughts slip into words when she entered the room. But she couldn’t allow that to happen given to stern warning to her counterpart only moments earlier.

‘It is a pleasure to meet the two of you’ said the Human ambassador in a neutral tone. There was no noticeable trace of emotion to be seen anywhere on his face. This man has been doing this for a long time. One would never be able to tell what he is thinking unless they explicitly told you.

Oh hi there 👋
