You’ve discovered a new planet. Describe what you see.
The planet itself was something else. The video package never showed me what the
planet actually looked like. It looked almost like a replica of Earth. With massive landmasses and great swathes of ocean. Only one noticeable difference. Several significant storms littered the atmosphere.
One storm was beginning to break over the largest landmass. Great flashes coursed through the cloud. I couldn’t see if it was raining but I can only imagine. The storm that would be raging on the ground would be immense.
As time went on we witnessed the changing of the weather patterns some areas were engulfed by the ever raging storm. while others seemed to be completely avoided without any explanation as to why they were safe areas and others were not.
Many of the continents were littered with ever expanding patches of green, one can only assume they were forests. I wonder if they were anything like the great forests of Earth. viewing form space there is no telling how old each these forests are. One can only imagine the ages that these forests have existed for.
A great ocean separated several of the large land masses. we could see form orbit the ever changing depths of the ocean floor. Some parts were the darkest blue they were almost indiscernible from black. then it changed to a pale blue at it neared islands or the coasts.
The sun glints off the outer atmosphere of the planet as our craft closes in on the planet. the detail that our eyes are taking in is immense, we cant fathom how a planet such as this had stayed undetected for so long.
